| The first Ever Devon TRF Christmas Bash
TO BE HELD AT, WHEELDON FARM SATURDAY 5TH DECEMBER 2009
This will be a purely social event for members & their families, no fundraising, no hassle, just some quality time at the excellent private surroundings and facilities of Wheeldon Farm along with yer trail riding buddies.
Inc... Team knockout competition on the indoor track Wheeldon amazing hot/cold Evening buffet & social in the Games room
Overnight accommodation in the plush cottages Basic admission will be for the evening buffet and social. (Wheeldon have a tradition of harty warming food). The team knockout event will comprise of teams of 3 or4 riders on Wheeldons own Suzuki 125 machines around the indoor track, depending on the amount of riders, early stages may start in the afternoon, it is not a flat our race, obstacles will need to be negotiated, (similar to the T2T style event) and the event is aimed at fun rather than race. (But beware Noel Squibb will be attending). Dont drink & drive. The plush Wheeldon cottages are available for you to collapse into. Bring yer own booze.

What are your thoughts on this idea? Wheeldon are pretty busy all thru December.
If we dont want to do it i need to let Andy & Jim know as early as possible.

| Come on guys and of course girls. We have nearly 300 members and no major interests?. I will be honest any nearer to xmas I will sruggle works do's etc. But this seems great venue great food great people little money and most of of all great fun

Yes Doh! the ten tors is the next day, but there are only so many saturdays in december and only so many that wheeldon have free and most work related xmas events start from the 12th and this is the night before the ten tors, you dont have to stay late or ride the indoor track event, so why not come along???
Yes it will go out in the NL if and when i get something to put in the NL.
TJ - can you pass this around the south devon crew please dude??
So we can either run this event or not run this event, the choice is yours. Its not a fund raising event, i just thought you guys might have wanted the chance top get together for Xmas and wheeldon is the perfect location - Simples!

Okey dokes, I've tidied up this thread (removed all posts prior to the actual event being posted) and changed Steve's message at the top and stickied it. I'll bung the flyer on the website, probably tomorrow.

| Which brings me nicely along to;
Due to the amount of effort on behalf of Wheeldon Farm to run this Xmas event for us (at a very reduced price), its been decided to have cut off point of 14th November (for minimum numbers), this will then allow us, if not reached, to cancel with Wheeldon, not incur any charges and hopefully Wheeldon will be able to re-sell the date for a Corporate Event.
Therefore if you are interested in booking you will need to make deposit payment of 50%, by Saturday 14th November, of whichever items you are booking - i.e meal x 2, track x 1, overnight accommodation x twin = £140.00 = deposit required £70.00 or meal x 3 = £53.85 = deposit required £26.92.
(If you want to make a payment with credit card let me know when you send me your booking form).
If we have reached the minimum number (for track and meal) by 14th November, you will still be able to book between 15th Nov to 1st Dec, alternatively we may also open it up to other TRF groups.
