RE: KTM ONLY...DARTMOOR LOOP......7TH NOVEMBER

Hi Gary

Sorry mate, I might have to "cry off" this one due to work!! nonono

I'll know for sure late Friday, so its probably better to say no now (in case someone else wants to go) & if it changes come back to you!

If poss I might trundle over to the lunch stop on Saturday, assuming it's the usual Hound Tor burger van stop and catch the afternoon run?

Sorry mate, wanted to attend and see the Orange team out in force!

I think you doing a route down to dartmouth would be welcome Darren. I just spoke with Albions as my piston still hasn't arrived. they are hoping to get it to me by thursday, so things are looking doubtful.
We can't postpone as I won't be available after the 7th.

Did you not know Gary's taking "silent orders" after the weekend? The Church of the fallen KTM has called and Gary has answered.....

They asked me first (obviously) and I told them to fekk off out of it!

So expect to see TJ out and about in flowing orange robes, chanting over and over "KTMs are the way and the life" and fingering his beads!

 Dave ,

if Garys bike is not ready, do you fancy stepping in as run leader on Saterday ?

The rest of us will be like a ship with no captain........cry

So nice of you to ask me Rob, but i am not afflicted with KTMitis. The thought of my glorious Yamaha being pursued across lane and moor by a horde of orange things desperate to shed their parts in a totally random pattern allowing all and sundry to plot our course is anathema to me I'm afraid.

Plus, might be getting my "new" It on Saturday.

I was looking forward to this, but now I can't make it either. Not ridden the KTM in about 12 weeks neithercry.

The plasterer/ dry liner can only do this Sat/Sun and it requires me to be here, if I put it off I'm going to be stuck in the caravan for much longer and I'm starting to get a little touchy with all the mud and muck so its not going to happen.

Know what you mean Biff, but seeing as the TRF does not condone any racing/testing, of man or machine, there's only one thing for it, do it properly, some friends and I are entering an enduro near Ifracombe on the 22nd November, at least there you'll get 3 hours, and about 200 others, with bikes of all shapes sizes and colours to play with, what do you think?

As far as myself is concerned, it's not bike perfomance, but rider performance that counts and I enjoy my riding but I am no racer.I love Yamaha's Gas Gas'esss and Hondas and Kawasaki. They are all great , but the rivalry is a laughsmile

Now, 25 years ago,a racer, maybe !!!! biggrin

Have a good ride out. Weather looks good, not that it matters to KTM's of course they cope with anything.

Lucky me, I'll be running pipes and sanding the old walls today while the dry liners get on with the plaster work, got 100 boards here, it will be interesting to see how far we get this weekend.

When we are back in the house I'm having a week or two break from drudge, and get some riding in!!!

TTR - do all your pics include hirsute-faced riders?biggrinbiggrin

That's a top example of face-fungus - probably grown so people can't recognise the rider, what with the bike he's on and all........

Looks like a great day out, wish I could have made it.

Steve's images use Java script btw, so unless you have it up to date and enabled in your browser you are likely not to be able to see them.

Thanks for organizing and leading us around yesterday TJ - really enjoyed the day, great views out across Dartmoor and the weather was very kind to us, although I did get a soaking riding back up to Budleigh. Also cheers to L'orange for keeping an eye out for me on the dual-carriageway on the way back.
Computer/phone software has been playing up and I havn't yet managed to download the group photos - will try again later.
Nice to meet the rest of the guys, we'll have to do it again some time.
