| Front Pipe |
|
| Hello All,
I have a 2005 EXC 250 2 smoke, The front pipe is crached and I am considering replacing it. I was thinking about replacing it with a FMF but have been told that they make it very peaky, The same person suggested a Doma pipe. Has anyone used either of these pipe or got any suggest on what would work best.
Cheers, Garry

| Mine had a FMF Knarly pipe fitted and I have just changed it (bashed to hell ) for a stock one (E Blag bargain brand new £80) and the only difference I noted is that the stock one fits better!
Maybe I'd say the bike ran a tad smoother on the stock pipe but I think it's in my head cause just sounds a bit 'softer' - I'm dammed if I can really say there is any difference.....David Knight may notice - but not me __________________

| pls correct me im wrong the stock pipe is double skined and give medium middle range performance good pipe FMF pipes give three very diff perfomance carictures FATTY huge low down hit supercross type short and hard hitting KNARLY hard bottom end very good middle range /and there heavy duty construction
the third option is like the ktm pipe mid top end its the one ide go for as its mellow on the bottom as im assuming you use the bike in the lanes it will crawle and chug without violently breaking traction as you turn the gas up ? put with a Q/ pipe silencer for a little extra grunt ? like myself your not made of money i would acqiure a pipe giude ????? alloy/carbon
pipes can be blown [dents] and welded for cracks but [old] double skined ktm pipes break down inside loseing performance?
doma rust like hell ? one other option there is a english pipe manufacture who make a knarly type pipe but ive got brian fade and cant remember sorry lol

Well I learnt a lot there! - cheers lost, and yes I'd say that the bike 'chugs' better on the stock pipe... Anyone know where I can get a Guard as i can't find one to fit anywhere cept a blinginy cabon job which is £80 - and the pipe didn't cost that! __________________

Ask Simmo, he recently bought a new one for the CR, and I think it's a universal fit. __________________ Not Everyone Can Wear Orange.

| Thanks all, was thinking about getting the gnarley as I don't just use the bike for laning. Also want to get into a lot more enduro events next year. Don't think I will go for the Doma if it rust also noticed on one site said it was only single skin.
