A DTRFG XR250 looking decidely unhappy snapped by its owner whilst another rider looks on wondering if he is ever going to get out alive and, if so, whether his bike would come with him or stay to become part of the mountain bog confuse

Looks like it was nearly an X Honda XR for Mr Cole.

It must be the thought of pie and Guinness that made him get it unstuck. aww

The Guinness restored frayed nerves in the evenings down the local pub and the Irish are generous in their meal portions.

Sadly not a pasty to be seen anywhere but the fish chowder (seemingly an Irish speciality) was superb.

Not sure I liked the "sofa" bread though or the very heavy home made brown bread that came with many of the meals. Got frowned at a bit when I asked if I could have ordinary sliced bread instead no 

It was my third year on "safari". Olly has been going over for more than 20 years and his knowledge of the trails, ability to read the terrain and skill in bog and rock hopping is second to none. He still managed to find a couple of new trails. One was a nice long ford and the other a very tricky Washabrook-type farm lane.

A couple of "over the bars" incidents and more Irish badgers than you could shake a stick at.

Some good news though for those that know about the curse of my leprechaun, he is now in a happier place with a lovely mountain top view from beneath his stone shelter  biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

One of our number wasn't convinced at his powers so, on the first day, I snuck the singing leprechaun onto his mudguard. He started to be convinced when his TTR mysteriously dived into a gorse hedge on the first trail smile

Lots more vids and pics (stop groaning!) but some of the vids are very shaky (shaky hand cause of the high winds that is) and I have heard there is a proggy that can stabilise them. It would be worthwhile doing that to a few before any editing, but does anyone know what it is, or whether there is a freeware version available?
