Renewals!!!

Tis that time again, to remove ye ole moth ridden cow hide money holster from the back of the settee and pay the TRF a very reasonable fee for another twelve months membership.

You may have seen the following before, but for those who have not, here are several good reasons to fill out a membership renewal form or log on and let yer visa card take the strain, and get renewed.

Devon TRF group is one of the foremost groups in the country, so lets be the first group back up to full strength in 2009.

Devon TRF Group 2008 successes.

A significant increase in membership due to a successful website and open forum.

A newsletter that continues to bind together both IT and non IT members.

Our local RoW Consultant, Roy Coombes, tested some useful RoW arguments at Public Inquiries on our behalf.

Regular informal meetings of members during the month in various parts of Devon for those members who live a long way from our official meeting place at the Welcome Strangler at Liverton.

Increased contact and co operation with neighbouring groups in Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset including production of Memory Map overlays for Dorset and Somerset "checked as legal" UCRs.

A Principal Officer now moves amongst us lesser mortals now that our own Treasurer is national Membership Secretary.
The launching of a new fundraising format in co operation with Wheeldon Off Road activity Centre.
Increased support for our traditional fundraising events.

New(ish ) members stepping up to take on actual roles within the group with the possibility of a reprieve for the longstanding few'.

Mapping (paper and electronic) brought up to date with e info being shared by a significant minority through the use of both Google Earth (free!) and Memory Map overlays with over 1,100 "checked as legal"  unsurfaced routes available throughout Devon.

Since the start of the DTRFG new open forum on the 30-8-08 there have been about 30 runs advertised (most filled within a few days !)Over 40 run reports (most with pics) have been submitted to the forum.
There have been day, night, weekday and weekend runs from 3hrs to 12hrs long covering north, south and east Devon mainly (with the odd trip to Dorset and Wales for good measure).

There have been runs to include all abilities including a couple of one-to-one novice sessions to build a bit of confidence, a ladies-only day, a big traillie run and there are now plans for a retro day (80's twin shocks etc)

if you cant find something to suit you from that lot there is even a request a ride thread on the open forum now !

If you are a registered user of the main TRF website you can renew online via PayPal.

If you haven't registered on the main site yet make sure you register with the same email address that you gave when you initially joined the TRF otherwise you won't be recognised as an existing member.

If you haven't registered on the main site this link will also give you the option of Registering (bottom link on the page).

If all else fails go to http://www.trf.org.uk/ and read.

Had a quick look in the error code manual and it says that 403 is the 'dodgy geezer alert code'.....

So it all seems to be working fine with no problems.
