£10, not marshalled, must sign a disclaimer, big first aid box on track.
No set days, can be either Sat or Sun, depends how many people 'phone up, they don't like to have more than 10 on track at any one time. Obviously weather dependant. They have had a few complaints re. noise.
Normally 1 of 2 sessions, 10am - 1 or 1 - 4pm, some days they run both sessions.
I've been up to have a look, but I didn't have a bike at the time so haven't ridden it yet. I believe it's around a mile long, with some bumps and berms. There were a few up there at the time. I think there's a limit of 10 or 12 at a time.
Hoping to try it out when things dry out a bit (it's very handy for me!)
I think this place could be great - small amount of money, you get to ride as fast as you like with out upsetting anyone!! and everyone going in the same direction, no walkers, no horses.
Face it, our lovely lanes are for exploring and enjoying - you want to go nuts, go here!!
Let me know if anyone has a day planned in for doing this - I am happy to be the entertainment
keep hoops in the loop and advertise for 10 riders after all he's our official personage on things like this! or just check to make sure nothing is conflicting to his schedule of events..
Certainly count myself and Alan (not on the Forum, but TRF anyway) in. He took his BSA 440 up there last year which is why I went up. Managed a couple of laps before it died!
If we're about, I'm sure we'd both be keen. I could walk home from there!

Good question! I'm picking the wheels up tomorrow, the only thing holding me up is two gearbox bearings, the frame is together, so it could be substantially complete in a few weeks.
OK what happened to this idea then?! The Dartmouth scramble has been cancelled this weekend and I have a YZ and am not afraid to use it! Anyone interested for this weekend if I give them a ring?
C90 nick went up there the weekend before last to ride his yz125, not much back tyre left at the end of it. very dusty and hard pack, but he came home hot and happy. Last weekend he went to Rockets at Henstridge Airfield near Wincanton, same rear tyre, even less left on it now!!!
Yes flat, but he's moved a lot of earth around so its pretty jumpy if I remember rightly. Not too far to go though, but different format to whimple, with novice, mid, and expert going out in groups, to separate the abilities, so you dont get an expert flying over your head as you roll over a jump.
no the track is only open on selected weekends through the summer months usually both sat and sun three sesions each day ring up and book in the number of riders if its your first time you need to fill out and sign disclaimer the owner comes down at the start of each session to take money and do the forms if required
Ok got through ..... its not open this weekend but is on the 18th and 19th, however we'll have to ring on Monday to see if there are any spaces left, they are on holiday apparently. Not sure if I can do next weekend.
