Is any one experiencing problems with their own computers??
Recently mine has been running slower (due to the amount of stuf on it apparently) but nearly each time i log onto the net its not got the usual homepage i had, its now got something called 'bing' coming up, the layout is different and this goes with all the sites i try to access including this one... its bloody annoying, none of it looks the same and it all to the left of the page rather than set out as it is normally???
Is it simply a virus i have or are you guys getting something similar??

It will even log me out when moving fromsection to section and ask me to log back in (our site i mean)

what were you using as yer home page? do a google searchg for it, then go to it, then copy and paste the address onto a note pad or new MS word document.
then in internet explorer On the top tabs click - Tools
Then at the bottom click - internet options
then on the first tab called genral delete the web addess in the white box (it should say bing), then cut and paste the address you saved on the note pad
Changing your browser is no solution, but everyone says that when something unexpected occurs. A couple of things spring to mind:
1. Everything looks different Either something has messed up your settings, or you've mistakenly zoomed in or out of pages (commonly happens when using mouse wheel to scroll and inadvertantly holding down a control key). To check the zoom in IE, at the top of the IE toolbar, select View > Zoom > 100%. Or use the mousewheel/control method
2. Bing This is Microsoft's search engine. Either something has set it to this either malicously or by user error. If it's the first, be worried, because if your browser home page has been hijacked it's probably the least of your worries. I can't think it's been hijacked as if it's legitimately Bing you're seeing, there's no way a hijacked home page would direct you to a legit search page - what's the point? L'Orange has described how to reset your home page.
What you describe about logging in/out though is worrying - I'd make sure you have an up-to-date virus scanner and run a full system scan. I'm also asusming you havne't changed your screen resolution......

IE is by far the most targeted and insecure browser you can possibly use. By not using IE you are less likely to fall foul of malicous and browser hijackers.
Whatever Feathers run Ccleaner, if you don't use it already.
when ever i get problems on the pc , quite often! i have to resort to asking one of the little people (no not pearcey) bit embarassing asking a 10 year old for help
We've just replaced our PC with two laptops and a netbook because we're fed up with the issues we've had with it. Regular problems with it freezing and breaking down so we removed the hard drive to get our documents off of it and it's due for a meeting with a hammer in the morning.
I spoke to a lady working for a small charity yesterday, they used to have a PC network and an IT guy working 3 days a week to keep it all working. They changed to MACs last year and have been able to reduce the IT support to 1/2 day a week. The extra cost of the MACs has been more than met by the savings in support. I wonder if other companies will follow suite?
may i make a suggestion if your not in the market for a new laptop ! and yours as you mentioned seems to be running slower [a exturnal hard drive ] transfer your stuff accross free up the memory and and hard drive stuff on your laptop deleat what you dont need clean and defrag laptops hard drive go online go to tools /safety deleat browsing memory this can help dont forget save all what you want onto the exturnal hard drive first ?
