New category required .............

A certain chairman found the need for a new category to go along with badger, squirrel etc today whilst riding down 192- 235 this dismount involves draping yourself over a tree branch whilst stopping suddenly and allowing the bike to continue on its merry way.

it was instantly christened the "ape hanger" wink

Could the spot be marked and given a suitable name such as Chairmans Folly or Noels Bounce

The lane hasn't got a real name - we could give it a local one as we did with Jim's Lane, Wacky's lane etc?

Chairrman's Folly sounds good to me - anyone got a better one?

Hanging ape lane should cover it.blankstare

The hanging ape would be a very good choice of dismount when you suddenly realize that your on the wrong lane and you 've come across a steep drop off.blankstare

Witnessed a different one recently.  What do you call it when, stuck in a steep, uphill rut, the bike suddenly grips & comes out of the top with a big wheelie & the rider lets go of the bars rather than be dragged along by a vertical bike?  The rider is left standing with hands in the air & bike goes off on it's own.  How about "hands up cowboy".biggrin
