So there I was on Sunday trimming my hedge with my trusty electric hedge trimmer. Now my garden is mostly level with a steep bank at the side going down to next door. On said bank is a large viburnum which needed a bit of trim, so as I have done so many times before I leant gently over the trellis at the top to give it a cut. You can guess what comes next! Yup ..... the fence post was rotten and snapped off at ground level, one karate forward roll later I was at the bottom picking brambles out of my legs! Fortunately I was wearing steel toe caps, leather gloves etc etc and was pretty much unscathed, but the hedge trimmer was not looking good!
Anyway I've treated myself to a Ryobi petrol hedge trimmer with extention tube and articulated head meaning not only will I be able to trim my hedge while remaining seated on the sofa! It should also make a good tool for trimming the lanes, I think it has a 2.3m reach at max! Prob not very stealthy tho.
More of a delboy than a badger, and thanks Rich for resurecting the hedge magnet, it reappeared on TT the otherday too! But could of course explain my sudden dive into the bushes!!!
