Shame the pictures are 'vertically compressed' and 'horzontally expanded' as it makes me look far far chubbier than I (think) I am............good job Pearcy wern't there or he'd look like a 'weeble' or summat....
Of course we shall now be charging for any signatures and 'appearances' as we is now celebs...........look out Austin Vince and co.....The Life and Times of a Lane Clearer by Whacky.....Me, Doug and the Bush by Steve.......The Tale of me, Gruff and a big Chopper By JT.......Books first of course and then just watch those bucks roll in as they want to buy the rights for the films.....ah yes I can see it all now.............we won't be able to walk round tescos without being 'accosted' by adoring hordes of Hello magazine readers and the alike.....
Wacky thinks I do it cause I wants to help clear the lanes not just cause i is rummaging for bits.....that was our little (ooops sorry) small.....(bugger, sorry again mate).....er......um............tiny......(oh hell, really trying to be PC about this mate)........Secret.....
What are the guidelines for Lane Clearing.... some over this dark and dangerous yuppie ridden western edge of South Hams need serious Wackmeistering............. I mean TOTALLY overgrown and deliberately hedged and treed in!
Well done you lot ... made for some good reading !!!!
Well its got to be 202- 059 and the bottom end of 202-058 Seem to have made some headway on the legality of the top farm end of 059 with DCC Row saying they may clear it for width suitable to transverse on foot. Maybe when the lanes in the east of Devon are all cleared, legally and arbourally, a concerted effort could get these little wes tby southwest, south Devon delights back in use?

202-059 i know it well, its the sharp left whilst going up hill on 202-060, didn't know there was a problem seem to remember it was cleared/flayeled end of last year.
And i can find 202-058.
Either way i'm pretty sure Wacky will be up for it, I was of the understanding that he's had no real requests for help down here, so lets go for it eh?
201-059 is what was meant I'm sure. This is a cracking rather technical climb where the bottom hundred yards is unrecorded and is a streambed running parrallel to a footpath.Further on up the UCR a chickenwire fence at the lower end and a large earth bank at the top enclose a short section of thick undergrowth preventing through passage along what is a very interesting ascent up a series of wet steps as the stream flows almost the entire length of the lane. Not for novices by any means and certainly on a par with 192-235/265. A worthy candidate for attention in my opinion. However we may not need to do anything if the Public Rights of Way Warden for Area South Highway Management Peter Guy is as good as his word in his reply to the member who complained. "I will investigate your report that the route is blocked and try to get it opened up to pedestrians at least."
059 is a bute of a lane and links up with two other unsurfaced roads that are legal, the remainder of 059 parallel to the railway embankment, and a sharp turn right under a railway bridge up hill B**** Lane ??????, marked as Unsuitable for Motor Vehicles... although the pikeys may have taken the sign for scrap...... and back up a tarmacked bit back onto the main Plymouth to Modbury turnpike. The old caravan and utaxed Transit van now no longer are blocking the top entrance (Thanks Plod!!!) The B* lane has no TRF number 201- ???
201-058 is not particulary stunning.... ALS has ridden it a few times and says it is a dead end into a field, however at the last attempt by me earlier this year I was thwarted by dumped rubble and trees deliberately felled into the lane,... as in 059, ..........My CRF does not have a chain saw attachment!!!
However the maps show the lane going all the way down to the banks of the Yealm, and this would be ideal for launching canoes... access to the Yealm is also very contencious as the rediculously wealthy and incredibly selfish land owners around the estuary perimeter desparately want to keep the rightfull owners of this green and pleasant of ours land OUT!!!
The National Trust have recently aquired Wembury Woods... but access is restricted to walkers only.
Every foot of Row for our use must be treasured... thats one reason why i support the TRF
