Found my bike!

As you know, my Urban was becoming too much of a hassle and so a new bike was quite urgently needed.

After much deliberation and discussion with my parents, I've settled on my new bike. Unfortunately, it's not an enduro. It is a Yamaha though so I must get some DTRF points back for that? The TTR250 and the DR-Z400 were definitely on my mind but I needed something with a bit of protection and something that I could sit for hours and hours without getting a numb backside. Got a bit of dodgy back and leg as well ("haven't we all?" I hear you say)

I've bought an FZS 600 Fazer in great condition and with good mileage on it. The guys at Damarells in Plymouth have been fantastic and have been so willing to help me out. Went in on Saturday just to have a look because we passed them on the way to have a look at an XJR 400 and ended up securing a great deal with them earlier today.

I'll be back in the mud soon though so don't count me out for too long. If I remember rightly, there's a meeting up at Haccadown soon? I'd love to wind my way up there across Dartmoor and put some more names to faces; and seeing as you've all been very helpful, I think it'd be rude not to.

Plus, you might be so kind as to let me have a whizz round so I don't lose my touch.

I certainly won't be leaving the Forum; it's one of the best I'm signed up to (more DTRF points?) and I'd still like to contribute in whatever way I can; whether it's a serious response (mmm...yeaaaah) or a bit of banter.

If there's ever a tarmac run, I'd definitely be up for it as I know there are quite a few with more road biased bikes.

Ride safe you lot. Keep up the run reports; they are brilliant. Especially with pictures. Of badgers. And mishaps.

Have 10 shniny DTRF points biggrin  Enjoy your new bike, I think you will, I had one as a courtesy bike a few years back and although it had a dash like the starship Enterprise, it was nice to ride - comfy and quick.

If you're thinking about Haccadown, you just missed it, our annual event was held there Sunday just gone.

Have fun with the bike - let us know how you get on.  Oh, and will you be changing your forum name to FaserJohn now? wink

Thanks Hoops. Really looking forward to picking it up on Wednesday! Like you say, it's very comfortable and it sounds lovely.
