Personal accident insurance

Just had an argument with my Honda whilst riding 202-033 and ended up with a broken collar bone. (must say many thanks to Brownie and Shaggy for looking after me!)
Being self-employed will now cause a few probs.
I know there are many "general" accident insurances out there and I have to say that I've not found them very impressive!
I'd be interested to hear of any experiences that green laners have had with such policies and any that could be recommended.
Many thanks, Robin.

Unless someone else is involved, are at fault and carry some form of insurance, there is not much chance of a claim for loss of income. You should be OK if the bike is damaged because you are on a road. Assuming fully comp cover.
What you may want to look at is an Income Protection policy, especially as you are self employed. They are not cheap but you just need to cover your essential outgoings... like parts to mend the bike and fuel.
Same policy would also cover for ilness.
