Light upgrade ?

Hey all..... it seems i will once again be putting myself through the trials of the Exeter in January....
Can anyone advise towards some light upgrades??   I have seen some bikes running extra spots alongside the main light? Prob cheaper?
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Phil.

The owner of TTR which has more light than Bridgewater carnival!

Or you can go my route and buy a 6" round Bates light from CMS for the trial.

As well as headlights, a lot of the entrants wear those helmet-mounted torches.

I recall putting some small single halogen spots on my fork legs for an MCC Trial - each angled differently to help out main beam. Still have 'em if you are interested! I only ran them in the sections.

But, to be honest, they were a bit of a gimmick and an unnecessary faff. If your main headlight has got a reasonable size halogen bulb with a decent spread of light on main beam then you are going to be OK.

The standard headlight on the blue TTRs is great as is the big round blighters that are fitted to the TTR Raids wink

Sadly the Raid I recently bought had an after-market headlight unit fitted. However, I was playing with it today and it seem very good and was bright even in daylight. It is held onto the fork legs with chunky rubber straps and has indicator units built in. My guess it is a universal fit. If you are interested in buying similar, I will look to see the make.

I have the large ttr raid round headlight fitted, it's perfect for the MCC trials, plenty of light.
Did borrow my brothers blue ttr one year, the standard headlight on that was just fine too.  Think that as long as you have a descent front headlamp and not a cheap plastic enduro type theres no need for any additional lights.
