The Reason I'm writing this thread is because its one close to my old ticker , a few of you know i lost my eldest daughter to cancer 24hrs after her eighteenth birthday yes sad sad sad this happened in 2008 just after Xmas ,well she endured nine opps two bouts of cheamo therapy, and many tears and much heart ache its not so much she didn't want to die it was leaving us behind to cope with her parting that was our Kathryn all over always thinking of others a very wise head on such young shoulders had she lived she would be at uni in cardiff doing a biomedical degree right now ,yep she was that smart.
well through all this two charities come to mind
CLICK SARGENT
These people enabled me Kathryns father to stay close bye as only one person is permitted to stay 24hrs a day on a hosp ward, i stayed in free accom for two and a half years off and on in Bristol /Birmingham and London if i had chosen.
FREE weekend breaks were offered but we declined we just wanted normality to return and be at home ?
MAKE A WISH
These people let us go to ROME for seven nts all inn in a 4st hotel, because of her lung opps we couldn't fly so we went by train ?all the way all sorted booked and paid for the hole family including spending money
Both of the above look after young people and there families in these diff times as we move on and the TRF moves on i would like to propose / nominate these charities for future fund raising
Did you know there is enough money ie Air ambulance to run two Helicopters and crews on all year round on the interest along ? and still big charities want your donations ? pls excuse spelling mistakes

You can not fail to be touched by the above. We have just raised £2300 from our ride for people with disability by asking the disabled to raise £15 in sponsorship. If you wish to run a similar event or any other event to raise money I would be more than happy to help.
the air ambulance is a great charity and saved my life flying me to hospital, but i get your point, do think charity begins at home and we pay enough taxes to make sure all these helpful organisations should not have to want.
Kerry, I am totally with you on this (as too are a few close to me , I'm sure!) My mother suffered from cancer (although she survived) and a close friend (who wasn't so lucky ) Anyway, my thoughts and intentions are with you!!
