Isle of Man

Has anyone else seen this site, not back for £20 per day for a guide around the Isle of Man

70's music and some funny pics there as well, all on legal lanes as well apparently.

Yep, it's meant to be a great place to greenlane. Some guys have just come back from there

I was doing some research earlier in the year to try and get speakers to come to us, and read an article that the IoM authorities were trying to close a lot of lanes due to people from the mainland going over there.  I think the articles was wrtiten in either 2006 or 2008, can't remember, but it sounds as though they didn't succeed thankfully.

My son and I went over at Easter, me on a WR450 and him on his DRZ400 (33bhp restricted even though he's way better than me offroad!). We stayed with friends in Peel and another friend showed us round the lanes. Great couple of days, many fantastic lanes even though a couple of the best ones over by Laxey were closed for repairs.

There are isolated pockets of opposition from the locals as the lanes do get heavily used and some of them are pretty cut up, but we didn't have any problems and the few walkers we met were very friendly.

I'll probably head over again next year and could probably organise something if people are interested. Here's a bit of helmet cam footage my lad shot to give you a flavour: http://youtu.be/kpS94TcgJ28

Very good and thank you!

I've only been to the IoM for either the TT or the MGP.

It looks inviting for a spot of the green stuff too.

Oh yes - and welcome Mr Cat & son biggrin
