hey peeps need some info on where to get starter motors rewound or refurbed local ish please, it works but its just too slow to turn the beast over, its all been tested and taken out and checked brushes and cleaned but still poo!

Same starter as gsxr 750, get one from breakers or pattern jap part, also check its earthing well as ive had earth probs with ktm starters

Autosave in Exmouth have rewound car starter motors for me in the past.
Not sure if the could help you but it may be worth trying them, Scott rides mx bikes & would probably be willing to help, they're all pretty helpfull in there.

so is that right onewheeljohn it'll fit a ktm then, just looked it up on e.bay and they do look real close on matching smile

Have you checked the voltage at starter? or directly jumped it from a car battery to make sure it isnt the electrics?
