I just don't understand the met office web site, there's a severe weather warning for snow in the SW, yet the forecast doesn't show anything. I would have thought that they'd have learned that clear messages are important!!

The temperature outside is rising!

Was -2.3C earlier - it's now a balmy -1.4C.

Does that mean snow on its way?

I was always told that it couldn't snow if it was too cold - but that doesn't seem to apply to Siberia.....

For those avid Q.I. fans, it is a myth that it can be too cold for snow! ;o)

Not sure about that - a bike courier came earlier and he had spent 5 hours stuck on the M25 in his van not moving after a blizzard where the snow froze on the motorway turning it into a skating rink. He reckoned he would make his deliveries tomorrow and take a few days off until things got easier on the roads.

Snow on the ground in Brixham and still snowing. Got to set off in 1/2 hour to walk the youngest to school. Only a 3 1/2 mile round trip, think I'll leave the heating on for when I get back.

JT The bloody met office havent got a local forecast right once since they have been in Exeter, and all they need to do is put there heads out the bloody window

I would like to know how much their inability to get a forecast right has cost, the times I had to cancel diving trips because the punters from up country cancelled as they listened to the forecast and the cancelled because of the bad weather, whilst I sat in the garden in the sun

Some of the boatmen who take out angling trips would like to shoot the whole lot of weathermen as over the course of a year it cost them thousands

The Met Office a Bloody Disgrace, and its not that they cant provide an accurate forecast as the ones we use on the north sea come from the met office and are very accurate but then we have to pay dearly for them

As someone from the met office on the box last night said 'We humans have changed the climate so now our weather forecast computer models dont work anymore. Ok so how long does it take to make some new computer models then seeing we have been banging on about climate change for decades furiousfurious
