JT  Get him an NSU Sickly, character building anything that goes for over 5 miles without breaking down is a bonus after one of these

The other one caught fire in Honiton High street as I recall biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Lovely little bikes.....ah....happy memorys.....I can also rember going into the automated pump at turks head garage, sliding a pound note into the machine and filling the tank and half of my mates tank as well....cry

First bike I ever rode was an NSU Quickly! Out in the fields by my house as a kid. Had a broken throttle cable, so we had a piece of wire from the carb that you held in one hand and pulled it up to go! Caught fire a couple of times too. That and a few Honda PC 50's. Oh, the fun we had at those dizzy speeds!!hmm

I thought they were NSU Nearlys?!! I had a Raleigh Runabout, it was like a PC 50 but with block brakes at the front! eek!

I'd start him off on a 80cc crosser in a field.

Cover the basics before getting on the road.

A) He's only (going to be) 16....

B) He'll have trouble getting up the lanes in one (which is what he wants to do)....

C) He's a biker like his dad, grandad and great grandad - so it's in his genes mate, which is a problem as to be honest I don't want him out on a bike but would be a total hippocrite if I stopped him. Hence the upcoming conflict with SWIMBO hmm

My threory is if he really has to have a ped that if I can encourage him out laning (not that he needs encouragment) then at least I can keep him 'under my wing' so to speak...

Besides I caused far more damage, Chaos and mayhem on 4 wheels then I did on 2 when I was a youngster disbeliefnoashamed
