Axe 2 Exe - East Devoners, any Ideas?

Sure Debbie won't mind me quoting her here....But the T2T thread was going a bit off topic. Anyone have any ideas of a site in east devon that could provide this:-

If someone can find a venue that provides self catering accommodation but also provide some space for camper vans and tents (or has a campsite nearby), is able to provide and cater -  breakfast for 35 people on Saturday and Sunday morning and a 2 course buffet style evening meal for 40+ people on Saturday evening (possibly something on the Friday evening for approx 10+), along with having the ability to securely store 30 bikes on Friday and Saturday evening - then let me know (via email or PM) and I'll give them a call.

Debbie

The Yoof Hostel at Beer might be an option. The building sleeps 39 people, it has self catering facilities and they can provide any meals required. It is in it's own grounds and has camping avaliable. They sell Beer too!! No under cover storage for bikes, but they do have a large cycle shed for gear, etc. Just a thought!!

Chris.

It may be easier to aim for 2 or 3 hotels close to each other with approximately 8 - 12 rooms each? Just an idea...

We use an agency to find us hotels for boat shows, may be worthwhile letting someone else do all the work for no extra cost!wink.gif

Any place called Beer that sells beer has got to be at the top of the list.

Beer Head caravan park, large spaces for camper vans and tents,  Good onsite facilties.  Breakfast can be got at any of the beach cafes, Bay view tea rooms, The Anchor and The Dolphin also do breakfast

Plenty of places to eat of an evening and Drink

Good access to some cracking lanes

And I live here, repair services available if required

Fuelled up in Honiton this morning - the Turks head is still open.

They have a bar and restaurant, fuel station next door, pressure washer etc..

No inside storage but they do have a gated compound for their hire vans - Richard is the boss apperently. Van hire, fuel station and the lodge is all the same company.

I must say Beer may be more inviting, nothing against Honiton but Beer may attract more people as they could bring the boss for a weekend by the sea!wink.gif
