Coast to Coast

Found this on the Dorset Forum.

A guy called Steve Love(Svengalie) organised a coast to coast run (650 miles). Great video footage and they had a real laugh. My favorite bit is when they opened a metal gate onto an electric fence. Then had to get it off again.

Yer - I remember it well! It was a 2-day run starting at Mansands and finishing the first day at Longdown where folks camped in the garden, slept in the barn or on the settee.

The 2nd day was usually led by our friends from the Exmoor Group such as Julia  (DR650 kicker confuse) and Chris (XR250) who took us by wonderfully gnarly lanes to Minehead where the softees were met by their other halves with trailers whereas us hardnuts just turned around (after a pasty and ice cream of course) and did another batch of lanes on a different route home biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

This was 650 miles from Kent to near Hartland point. Took 3 or 4 days I think.

Well I've managed to organise a 6 lane run so far, so I recon I'm ready for something a bit bigger. Coast to coast, can't be that difficult, can it!!!!

Never did clean that one, counted myself lucky to get up without stopping, but it never did stop me.

Love the warning sign.
The angle is not inappropriate given what lies on the ascent up the far side of the valley
