I would give it a miss mate unless you're offered one at a silly price - and that's unlikely given the purchase price of about 6 granddisbelief

From what I've seen there are many better 450cc enduro bikes out there.....and nearly all of them will be easier/cheaper to get spares for.

Hi James - get a KTM 400 EXC great bike parts are cheap and plentiful - it'll match nicely with the Tuareg suit you beat me to toohmm

Really ignore the naysayers get a KTM 400 EXC (the 450 needs more skill or bravery I'm told)

I have never heard anybody who knows what they're talking about say anything good about them, the main areas of criticism were, engine gearing, and suspension.

Hey Clayton

Apart from those trifles, what about the rest of a BMW - the marque, the prestige, the BMWEENESS? Bet there wa no criticism there from someone who suffered the deprciation.biggrinbiggrin

sorry Ric / i tried Rics 450x and it needed sorting ? the front sus was very stiff they a cartridge fork and need a specailise to sort them out the seat was like a plank ?but the bike has good ergonomics , the motor appears very reliable and gets a huge warrenty on new bikes in the states so thats good ,the motor has plenty of pep and and spins up real qiuck [very revy] would of prefered a a hydro clutch but there you go bit of a ares job when changing front sprocket but thats not a job that needs sorting often ? petrol tank under the seat like the vermati ? and regretfully david knight couldnt or wasnt allowed to get it to his liking ? p.s husqverna are now useing the motor in there own frame and the bike gets hydro clutch :
