I saw signs on Waterless lane Mamhead saying 10 till 2 ish, difficult to spectate there though, more entertainment at Simms and Tipley as they are going that way too. Piggery features on the route sometimes.

Thanks Pete

I've watched Simms too many times and want to go else where.

Rocombe is good.

If you get any ideas please let me know.

Also........I don't know waterless lane.........is that one that we can use?

Cheers, Rob.

192-229
Wrongly called Watercress lane on the overlays
They are going from N to S
Section begins before the bog at the bottom and ends after the steep grassy slope on the tarmac at the top, I think a stop start may be involved by the signage.

The event starts from the Exeter Court Hotel Kennford so you could go there first to get section opening times and leapfrog ahead of the competitors

Wooston steep (runs parallel to 191-055 about 1 mile to the east) is apparently worth a look as is Fingle hill

Oh yeah I do ride 192-229.

Wooston steep is well worth watching. Both the bikes and cars struggle with that one.

I've decided that I'm going to Rocombe. Will take my bike and do a few lanes at the same time!

Hi Pete, did you mean Piggery, or Slippery Sam?

Rode down to Rocombe this afternoon and couldn't see any signage to indicate a motor club event.

Looking at the condition of piggery and slipery sam I would think that they are giving Rocombe a miss this year.

If anyone hears anything else please post it.

Thanks, Rob.

Defo no signs on Piggery - I drove past it this afternoon.

Thought I did catch a glimpse of a sign on the entrance to a lane off the Ringmore road - can't find the lane number right now. If that's right, there must be others in the area?

Hi Pete, did you mean Piggery, or Slippery Sam?

I meant Piggery but Slippery Sam has been used too.I lived in a caravan between the two and on being woken by loads of eccentric machinery I went to see where they were coming from and going to, the trail led me past Simms, Tipley, Johnny Cann's, and I discovered 191-055 along the way. Always thought Simms the best viewing place, certainly popular enough. The club website mentions Wooston, Tipley and Simms by name so only the clubs local notices such as on 192-229 will give a clue to locating any other intended sections. It is always worth checking out signage on the lanes.
