Kawasaki Versys

Does anyone have any info on or riden one of these bikes, I am considering one as a fun road bike with the accasional trip over the water. They seem to get good press but you can't believe all you read.

Cheers Ross

I tried one a couple of years ago when I could no longer make the knee bend on a CBR600F.  It was alright but I had a problem with the steering.  When leaning it, the bars seemed to turn too much for a given amount of lean.  This is probably just me but I couldn't feel at home on it.  Give it a ride before buying.  I ended up getting a GSX650F which I like.

I know 3 people who have them and they all love them. Richard the parts guru at Albion has had one for a while now and he usually changes his bike more often than I change my underpants!

One of the most under rated all rounders Ross. It's a very good 'fun bike'. I've done alot of riding on the versys and I would say it's pretty good at everything not at all poor in any particular category. Come and ride one at Bridge. Just ask for me (Dan) when you come in and bring both parts of your licence - then you can make your mind up yourself.
See you soon
Dan

I think a Versys will suit you Ross, odd looking bloke on an odd looking bike, go for it.
