Ride Out Rules?

Hi guys im a newbie to greenlaning what are the rules when it comes to what bike you will let people ride on a ride out. Ive got a 2002 Yamaha YZ250F which has been road registered and has a daylight MOT. i have fitted a rear break light so people can see me stopping. Would this be ok to go out with guys or do i need to add anything else? Cheers Craig

As long as your bike is road legal, taxed and insured that's good enough.

Noise is often an issue so as long as your bike is correctly silenced for road use (not MX silenced) you should be fine.
Bike noise is one of those things you just have to gauge for yourself. Most larger capacity bikes can be noisy when used in anger, I'd imagine a YZ250F will fall into that category.

Also just because it got through an MOT doesn't mean it's quiet. Don't worry though, I've no doubt if your bike is excessively noisy someone will tell you.lol.

Enjoy the lanes, Rich.
