Cheap Road Angel

Hi all, anyone fed up with their (fully) working RA?

I've searched this site and they have gone from around £60-£80 (apart from a bargain £39 Flebay one off) I'd be more tempted closer to £60! or I'm I just taking the Pashamedss.

If you have had enough of yours, feel free to PM me.

£60 is very cheap for a fully functional RA with a good battery life and all the accessories. In terms of overall cost you need to factor in the cost of a 2Gb SD card (needs to be a fast and reliable one - not the cheapest available) plus the cost of a Memory Map licence.

New owners usually need quite a lot of support getting their laptop/PC set up with Memory Map and the RA's SD card cloned with the MemMap client, maps etc and then checking that the RA can exchange data with the laptop/PC.

The moral is that, if you want it up and running right away and don't have spare hours to spend faffing around then buy the RA from someone locally who will get you up and running and provide telephone support for any issues arising. Worth paying extra for IMHO  wink

I've had a couple of offers from kind folk off here, the ole RA does seem to have the marmite factor.
