Can anyone of you fine chaps give me an idea on the price of fitting a dual mass flywheel and clutch to an 04 VW Passat TDI 130 5 speed and is there any other things possibly needed?
Thanks Nige

I'm not sure about the Passats but on Mk3 Mondeos if the dual mass flywheel went it could also fill the start motor with metal so you'd also be advised to check or replace that. Also the the clutch slave cylinder is something else that you'd just replace while you were in there..
PM me the reg no of the Passat & I'll see what we can do it for. It won't be cheap because we prefer to use genuine VW parts & all of the dual mass flywheels are pricey.
Not sure if the Passat has hydro or cable clutch. Some cars have the hydro slave (gearbox end) clutch in the gearbox bell housing itself and not outside on the casing. If its the case some will say change it. It would have been in there as long as your clutch and about as much labour costs again to change if starts leaking or sticking (only if built into bell housing). GSF will advise you which clutch cyclinder and type with the reg number.
