Anyone decode colours for resistor values please?

resistors 001.jpg

I bought one each of 1K, 4K and 10K resistors from Maplins that Mrs TTR collected for me. They were all put in a bag together and I am struggling to decipher the colour bands to know which is which. disbelief

Can anyone help please?

Didn't think of that!

Top one is 1K I reckon as lowest resistance

2nd down is 10K

Bottom pic is 4K

I am trying to sort out a kph to mph converter for digital speedos on the TTR250 white models and have to do some tuning to the sample converter I have been sent. Don't know what I am actually doing (as you can tell!) but a nice man from the USA is advising wink

Hi Brian

Try using this site

I think the 4K is actually 4.7K

 Hi Craig

That was one of a few sites I looked at but I just couldn't get my head around the bandings disbelief

I think what I am doing is experimental so it won't matter if I am a bit of an ohm out. As long as I know which is which wink

top one is 1K
middle one is 10K
bottom one is 4.7k

final band on right hand side is tolerance which is 1% on those values.

Thanks for the offer Nige but tried all 3 resistors in the speedo converter tonight and the experiment failed so its back to the man in the US I am afraid cry
