Stolen KTM495 & FANTIC 200

Can I ask you all to keep an eye out for the above bikes that were stolen from Teignmouth between Friday 6th & Wed 11th Jan 2012 please. The KTM 495 is a 1984 model with upside down forks, which was not common at that time. It has a seat cover in red &whhite with King David II in white writing on it. The bike is in need of doing up, but would be an eligible bike for the retro style motorcross. FANTIC 200 is a 1980 model in the standard red colour. It has a century oils sticker along the front mudguard which is a company I don't think exists anymore. I think it has a red coloured tailpipe, which again is very distinctive. The bike is in need of a good refurb, but I am keen to retrieve it as I have had from new. It also has a counter on the breather pipe for counting the dabs. You help in stopping these scum from getting away with taking what's not theirs would be appreciated, and maybe we should have a section for any stolen bikes/ bits. Cheers ever hoping Dave

Will keep an eye out for the bikes. I live in Dawlish and I will be sure to pass the word around.

Do you think it was an opportunist theft or planned?

Craig

Do you have any photos? The descriptions are good but a pic is better, then there will be several hundred pairs of eyes on the lookout for them.

Post the theft up on http://dirtybiking.activeboard.com/f405562/stolen-dirtbikes-etc/

and the TBM forum here http://www.trailbikemag.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1046&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=105

There are probably others but can't immediately recall where.

Good luck on the recovery!

I will have some photos somewhere, but may take a while to locate. I appreciate your replies, and the fact that more people are aware of the theft. Cheers Dave
