Nice BSA

I vote that Grouty mods his and we all go and watch him at Bonniville speed week - like Goodwood festival of speed but at Bonneville!  Nice rear shocks!

BSA did make some nice motorcycles, true. biggrin

Here's one they made in 1926.

It's had only three owners, I'm No 3.

It's not as fast as many others, but I put that down to being 86 years old.

Not sure I can convert (or want to) my 500 into a 250 !
I would imagine on methanol it would be an interesting ride. There are a couple of threads on www.b50.org to do with speed week and fast BSA's

That BSA of mine is an L26.

Bore 72 mm

Stroke 85.5 mm

Swept volume = 348.11 mm³

Approx 3.49 BHP - but that's a guess. confuse

It has a hand change 3 speed gearbox, acetylene lighting, throttle lever (no twistgrip), no rear suspension and girder front forks.

Brand new, in 1926, it would have costed £41 15/- excluding lamps and horn.
