The Grizzly 2012 Important Update

Just to let everyone know the Grizzly Run 2012 will take place on Sunday March 11th

This year is the 25th running of this race which is reputedly the toughest multi terrain race in the UK, and there is a larger than usual entry field to celebrate the event

As usual it takes place from Seaton, to Beer on to Branscombe back to Beer and finishes back in Seaton, and uses a lot of the lanes in this area, so it would be best given the amount of runners and spectators to avoid the area over the whole weekend, as most of the competitors are training and learning the course on the friday and saturday before the race on sunday

On top of that Devon Highways in their wisdom have decided to shut the road from Beer to Seaton for a week starting on Wednesday 8th March so all traffic will have to go via Tower Garage at the top of Seaton to the Hangmans Stone turning to Beer on the A3052.

Chaos and Carnage, best that everyone avoids the area if at all possible, unless of course a public flogging of the council officials who decide to shut the main road on one of the busiest weekends in the year can be arranged, then all are invited to come and cheer

RE: The Grizzly 2012

We met a few today - they did look a tad grizzly also because it was drizzling a bit. cry

The greyhound they had with them looked as if it was enjoying himself. wink
