Vauxhall Corsa or VW Polo


Trying to find a Vauxhall Corsa or VW Polo, Citroen Saxo for my son to learn to drive in 1.2 or smaller anyone know of one for salesmile

I've got know of one floating about. A bloke Who works for us, we bought it fir him and hes just finished paying us for it ut bow wants somthing Newer, It's on a r plate in red coil overs on oz turbos tax and tested clean little thing 1.4 I think. It's in Exeter wants £975 for it.

Hi Russ, make sure you contact the insurance company before you buy a car for your son as the quotes for a 1.4 may blow you away. a 1.0 or 1.1 engine will be better on your pocket.

I just sold my Daewoo Matiz to a couple who bought it for their daughter. They were quoted £1800 insurance for a 1.4 Polo for her, yet my Matiz, as it's only 800cc and group 5 insurance was £550

My wife's friend is selling a Saxo 1.1 think it's a v reg, very clean n tidy. £700 Ono. She's parked it opposite the one stop shop just of the ashburton Rd N/A. Let me no if interested n I'll find out more info

Thanks for the other replys the Corsa sounds great too but like the others say think he will have to stick to 1.2 or smaller. He has saved a couple of thousand but looks like six or seven hundred on the car and the rest on insurance plus twenty two pounds per hour on lessons I'm sure it was'nt quiet that expensive in my day.

Sory found out it's a 1.2 it's got tax n MOT til July best thing to do is go av a look it's Gota for sale sign in the car u won't miss it, yellow Saxo by the shop on ashburton Rd.

Hi Guy went and had a look myself today took some photo's to show him gonna take him tomorrow to look for himself, thought he'd like something that stood out but he did'nt seem that keen on the colour but we will see thanks for finding out the infosmile

No worries.. Boy racers would pay good money for a spray job like that some alloys, lowered springs, sorted n he soon be driving round with a car full of blonds before he knows it...:)

I think thats what his Mums worried about (wants to protect her little soilder) but I cant wait to start tinkering with his first car, will bring back many good memories (god I am starting to sound old) Can't believe hes 17
