Tropical wales welcomed our little group of Ollie, Rich XR, Jerry Atterick, Ming, Brownie, Chriscole, and I.
We couldn't have had better weather, river crossings on the Strata florida were apparently tame this year after last years raging torrents ( well, challenging for me but completed without mishap). The reservoir run beforehand was great, fantastic views. Brilliant day, did wonders for my confidence.
Our Pictures are from saturday only, as an unfortunate camera drowning incident took place having completed the strata, where a certain person decided to cross a small babbling brook but didn't make it out the other side unscathed. Bike survived, camera did not. Rider rather wet and cold. Heading back to base Brownie suffered a puncture, so a stop for petrol, mending, coffee and hot chocolate was decided.
On sunday the weather was even warmer, and we tackled some stickier, ruttier lanes along with some amazing runs across open moorland. Wow, wales is very beautiful. Lunch at the petrol station was jackets off and faces to the sun. jerry unfortunately didn't join us for sunday as he returned home for nursing duties ( hope she's well on the mend now).
Monday , rich xr, brownie and ming depart and Capn paul and Lynn join us also Bozz and pat from Warwickshire. The weather was not so kind, drizzle, cold, and we headed off towards Devils Bridge and the lanes around there, however Bozz took us to our first lane which had a huge bog hole in the middle, I literally thought I was going under until a push from pat got me through. The steep rocky downhill ( my particular nemesis) was interesting, we rode back up and I managed to park upwards into the hedge, thanks to Pat ,again, for getting me down this time.
We headed back for a clean up and pack up then set off back to devon at 4pm.
The accomodation at Radnor revivals, see Trail mag, was excellent, comfy beds, central heating, plenty of rads to dry wet kit and boots over.
With many thanks to Ollie for organising a great weekend, food, riding, company, etc
if you get the chance to go to Wales grab it.

Nice write up & great pics.
Glad you had a good time, gutted I couldn't come along this year but this had brought it all back.
Claerwen resevoir was probably the most fun for me.
Congrats to Ollie for another sucessful 'away from Devon' excursion.
