This Friday 30th March, at 19.30, Giles Chichester, Member of the European Parliament (MEP) will be in Bridge Motorcycles, Exeter, to meet his South West constituents. Not any old constituents, but bikers and motorcyclists from all walks of life.
We have a message for him. Listen to us, represent us, and stop this nonsense from Europe.
Although this meeting has been organised by the South West Region of the Motorcycle Action Group (MAG), all riders are invited to attend and play a part. This is an invitation to you, your fellow riders and club mates, and every rider who values the freedom and self expression that motorcycling brings. We need to fill the showroom at Bridge to bursting point. We need to show we mean business.
The vote in Brussels has been delayed yet again because of the objections that MAG and individual riders have made. We can beat the ill informed and out of control bureaucrats in Europe, but we need to stand together, and be vocal.
Paddy Tyson, MAGs National Campaigns Manager will be chairing the meeting. Anyone who has heard Paddy speak will know that, not only does he speak from his heart and soul, but he backs it up with facts and figures. Paddy is involved at the highest level with MPs, MEPs, Ministers and Transport Committees. He knows his stuff. If you have a question but feel unsure how to present it at the meeting, speak to Paddy, he will help.
Friday 30th March. 19.30. Bridge Motorcycles, Exeter. If you care, youll be there.

How did it go? Had a killer ride back from Wales - from Bristol to Taunton with a few exceptions, the traffic wasn't moving at all in all 3 lanes of the M5 Stupidly hot on the bike and filtering with panniers on was a bit hairy to say the least. Needless to say was way later home than I wanted to be

Pretty busy down there I would guess at 200 + bikes. The MEP sounded sympathetic to to the cause, but emphasised he could not change anything alone. There are 750 Euro MP's to vote for or against any new rulings!!
The majority obviously have to be convinced, thats a lot of petitioning and letter writing!! Get your membership fees sent off to MAG now so they can carry on fighting for us

I went. It wasn't the most exciting evening of my life but I was there to make up the numbers. I think I saw Delvey but I have only seen his photo so couldn't be sure it was him.
