No need with top whack stuff if you're changing regularly, which should be the case in any event.
I've used Motul 5100 15w-50 in my dizzer for a couple of years now and it makes the gearbox as smooth as you like. Change every 1000 miles. At about £8 per litre its not too pricey.
Good oil is £40-50 a gallon, cheap oil is £20- 25 so whats to gain if you change it twice as often?!! The evidence from engines that are run hard is that fully synthetic ester oil gives better protection and better gear changes. The straight cut gears and relatively high revving engine is hard on the chain molecules, fully synth ester oils stand up to this better. More changes of cheap oil may be a false economy. But don't listen to me read the 100's of threads on TT!!

You don`t get enough grief from me you muppet. I am also off Saturday, if you are free and you are no longer suffering from the sniffles. You`re a bigger girl than Pearcy.
