For those who follow MotoGP (and I know there's a few on here that do), Casey Stoner has announced he's retiring from the sport at the end of this year
Last week he was denying even thinking about it. Shame, honed his skills in this country you know. Saw him win the 250GP at Sepang in 2005. Proper talented nutter. Retiring at the top.....respect!
Cant blame him i reckon he may win it again this year then go out on top like Rossi should have done hopefully without any major injuries and enjoy his family and the few quid he may have put away
Stoner the moaner. Guess the sound of his own moaning's got him down to the point he can't bare to hear himself anymore, the solution to rejuvenate his happiness ........ Quit (granted whilst on-top, so good move in that respect)
Talented, definitely. Interesting to watch, not! Like Wheely said, he didn't like it when the racing was shoulder to shoulder but that's what makes exciting racing.
My opinion, not such a great loss for the spectators.
He's the Stephen Hendry applied to Motogp. Where's the whirlwind or the hurricane they had good Public Relations people but seemed to have broke n bankrupt stories, so good for him a Focused individual who did his stuff better than others. Got out with his sanity n heaps of cash. Good effort. Dull but good.....
