Im considering in buying a new jacket and trousers for some laneing, i have seen these at cms and has wandered if they are suitable/upto much or any other suggestions for another brand pro's and cons etc.
RST 1330 Waterproof Armoured Enduro Jacket Black £102.12
RST 1335 Waterproof Armoured Enduro Motorbike Trousers Black £85.00
Looks good, just one point if you ride the green lanes alot remove the armour as this will move around and not protect you properly should you have a off !!
Use the below all in one body armour fits tight and does not slip about when riding.

I have that exact same jacket, had it about 4 or 5 years now. I also have an armoured vest similar to the one Doug has posted. They don't work well together as wearing both is very very hot, even in colder months!!! I find the armour in the jacket sufficient for laning and had many offs but nothing major (yet, fingers crossed). Riding at speed into a tree is a different matter, and that's where the armour will be handy (I wear my jacket laning and armour/shirt etc. for events/tracks). I've not tried the trousers, I wear normal MX jeans with armour underneath. By the way, the jacket is only showerproof and mine let's in water if there's only a few spots of rain (I need treat it with something).
Hope that helps
i think i shall give them a miss then and take a look at something different, any suggestions on a good all round jacket and trousers. Will go down to albion and have a peep on whats there.

Albion have some similar jackets for a bit more money, was in there yesterday. There's nothing wrong with the RST jacket, I'd get another when my current one is totally worn out
I have always used Buffalo clothing and found it most durable, however as Mr TTR has expressed above, good idea to take your boots along as to make sure the trousers you buy will accomadate them!!
100% waterproof and breathable. Benn using these for over 18 months
No rips or tears and all for £35
Trousers £30 from Camouflage in Paignton
Been using them forever. Bought a pair last week. Last a year or two. Available in desert or dpm camo.
Plenty of room underneath for knee/shin & hip protection. Wear the same gear all year round. Light enough to be cool in summer, and windproof waterproof and breathable enough to keep you warm in winter, without the need for extra layers.
Hoops will look into them but if they are only showerproof not so keen getting soaked after say 10 mins of riding especially after the summer weather we have had, are yours leaky because you havent re-treated them ?
I think maybe i will buy some army gortex waterproofs for the minute untill i see something better/suitable and save a few more penny's till then so to have a better budget.
