Oh dear, oh dear, that's not a happy first outing and he was wearing proper boots too which are normally supportive enough to prevent things like that from happening but just goes to show we're not all infallible. Hope he's back out n about on the lanes when he's recovered. Get well soon
Can we all learn something from this poor guys misfortune e.g. would he have managed to keep it upright if the DRZ had been lowered before he rode it?
I hope he's back out soon - so unfortunente for an 'off' to actualy result in any injury.
From the looks of the vid I'd say his bike dropped (or veared sidwways) into a muddy ditch or rut. Judging by the speed he was carrying I'd say you either catch it with the steering or the bikes going over. I doubt getting a foot down would have helped with that one.
Bummer real bad luck on the 1st outing, gotta say bike looked far to tall for him though......hope the foot heals OK.
Not to mention a bit heavy for a first bike (even heavy for a 10th bike they are )
But that's a real shame he sustained such an injury from such an off. Get mended soon.
