Saturday nights bedowins were Kerry craige Ian we were in for a rough night with plenty of wind rain lots of rain and it was dam cold for me ? Sunday morning dawned and Dan turned up nice to see a few more friendly faces from Pencilwood and v2.Pete turned up so to practice well the big XT stalled on the line not a good start and me with a long push back uphill to the pits with no soup box to jump off ? Well craige came to my risqué thank you old friend I was stuck well craige having ago then holding onto the beast I jumpted and it started and I managed a practice session SLIPPERY ! Well the Front was going one way back wheel , I don't know what was going on there I hung on the bike did everything bar go straight ! Phew so much for a good start to the event lowered tyre pressures a little more ! .
So to the race I lined up on the far left of the grid first corner was left hander followed by a off camber sharp right ,tape disappeared and I was about tenth into the first bend around to the right and right there in front of me a fallen rider prostrated across my path so that was it my race nearly done mmmm a sharp ninty degree right much wheel spinning then a left and I was off on my way again well red mist time I blasted a very fast XT540 around that track no way as fast as the group A boys but fast ish for the group D lads after much waywardness and alot of blasting the beast to try and clear the rear tyre I finished alone final bend just had to do it i gunned it over the line pulling a wheelee ? You know that right off camber just after the finnish line well I didn't make it wiping out the ropes and a steak ! Right in front of the assemble crowd it had to be done lol results well I finished third second third race canceled due to bad weather heck I would of gone out again I was having a hoot others wearnt ? So that would be third overall ahem !how the lap scores were recorded god knows everyone was in this brown livery ?
Work still needed on the old girl but the mods to date have improved the old girl every meet
P.s I upset the marshals on leaveing the venue I had momentum so I kept it up apparently not noticing the que for the four wheel drive tows well I'm on first name terms with mr angry but I think he got my name wrong numpty my names not numpty it's lost oh well 42.00 pounds for practice and one race but that's the way the cooky crumbles but I had a good time with Good friends till next time folks I so much want to do it again but ill have to try and sort that sus out a little more

That was muddy! I'm calling it a "thin sock" event as I had to wear one on account of my still swollen toe! Lost may have been 3rd, I was in lead for the first half a lap, until a 180 into the ropes put me at the back of the pack! Boy was it slippy. An hour and a half to clean the bike, trailer, kit and then drive!

Excellent weekend Yet again Chef Kerry came up with a dish to feed the 5000 ! I was warm and comfy in my tent and had to ask after I got up, what time it started raining (7am apparentley). Practice was a little slippy but great fun. First race was full of the real keen boys (NO grading in the classic class !). No off's, no moments either. But as Dan said, the de-kaking could take some time tomorrow. Cleaning the bike will be the quickest job. No idea where I finished though.

Pictures DSC_8435 to DSC_8441 show how my race was scuppered . Great pictures of you showing everyone how it's done, Dan! Kerry is looking great too. Caught up a little with 148, Pete, and his early fall.
All the kit is clean. Winter maintenance and tuning (I use the term loosely) will begin soon.
