Need a new jacket

My jacket for laning is absolutely cream-crackered cry. I am on the lookout for a replacement, size XL. I would be interested if anyone has one they would like to sell at a reasonable price. I am also interested in people's recommendations.

The brambles have seen off my RST jacket and the waterproof inner membrane has disintegrated making the jacket not very waterproof any more cry.

Craig

I have been told that Trago mills are starting to selling motorbike clothing from Wednesday. Might be worth a look?

I may have just the thing.

A bought a scott suit a couple of weeks ago off the forum and the jacket is an XL which wont fit me and armour.

Previous owner says its waterproof.

Hardly used.

Comes round every year, but Aldi and Lidl do bike jackets / suits etc.

Plain black but first class quality and cheap, £45-00,ish

Might be worth a look, just in case.

There doesnt seem to be any pattern as to when they are for sale, just keep your eyes open.

I bought a jacket from SP motorcycles on Marsh Barton when I started laning in 2006 for around £45.

I replaced it last year for a similar one as the zips on the pockets were snagging a bit (& the 1st one was red & black, I had a Honda then).

This was bought at the same place for the same money.

They are 'last season' stock so reduced in price.

I got TRF discount on top of that price as well.

Very hard wearing & pretty good water resistance, why pay more?

Might check that out - my jacket's fine although has lost it's waterproofing despite being treated.

Have a look in Bridge motorcycles.
They change their range regularly and sell of 'old' stock quite cheap.
Good quality and after sales service if it leaks or zips or stitching break.
I was happy to get a Triumph jacket for £100 sale price reduced from £265.

Depends what your budget is, Craig.

I have a Klim Traverse jacket and have to say it's up there with Sealskinz socks as a must-have piece of kitbiggrin

Completely waterproof, resistant to brambles and more than the odd interaction with rockshmm

Downside is price.......Adventurespec are the sole UK stockists I think and they are near on £300. I got mine from the States (thanks Philwink) for $290, which was a bit of a bargain.
