Well after a few months of looking for a new bike, I have made my mind up! The TTR is staying and after seven years I have said goodbye to the Tiger I recently did the two day www.tenereexperience.co.uk in Wales, which has turned oiut to be an expensive weekend!
I was that impressed with the way the 660 handled the Hafren Forest trails and surrounding greenlanes I decided to get one. I think it's the closest thing to a genuine all rounder that you can get. Cruises comfortably well on the road up to legalish speeds, and its really economical.
I wouldn't personnally take it up piggerry or Tally ho etc, but I'm sure it would get up with a better rider than me on it!! The guys guideing on the course would'nt have a problem
(Dylan Jones - Son of Gerrard, I expect the name might be familiar to some!!) You could definately ride to the trails on this bike and attempt most, looking forward to clocking up the miles when I pick her up next weekend.
Olly Cooke has been taking his BMW tanker out on some runs lately so knows some nice big-bike friendly routes. Might be worth making contact?
At 215kg fully fuelled it's gonna make your TTR seem featherweight
I rode the 260kg Super Tenere in Wales to start off with Brian. Lovely bike on the road but "Weigh" to much on the trails. I jumped on the 660 afterwards and it felt like a lightweight!!
I'm going to try to work out some bigger bike routes, Olly sounds like a good start.

Well I picked up the bike yesterday, and swiftly put a 110 miles on the clock riding the long way home around the South Hams!
Very pleased with it Comfortable riding position, very flickable around the A & B roads, doesn't feel like a 200kg bike. There are a few vibes through the bars at certain speeds, but not at the legal limit. The tiny screen seems to deflect the wind well.
