So a question

How many years has john been riding this event?

Its the 30th year this year that weston beach race has been running wink

I'm pretty sure he's ridden quite a few of them if not most smile RESPECT

I remember my first spectator experience back a few years now, just an amazing sight to see all those bikes at once smile

It always used to be a good day out. Last time I did the beach was in the days when everything started together. Scared the crap out of me first time, no better the second !!
Not quite the same now with the different classes and all the H&S stuff. Hats off to John Heal, Richard and Liz.

It was so different years ago riders needed to qualify on the saturday to race sunday all started together a run to the bikes dead engine start and 1000 bikes quads and trikes shame the entry was down on previous years but thats RHL for you running it the same weekend as weymouth the final round of the british and southwest enduro championships oh and the huge entry fee

For me the best part of the old style beach race, was when they brought nearly a 1000 riders down through the centre of Weston Super-Mare, escorted by police out riders on BMW's and loads of Rover 3.5 V8's, 1986 I think, total mayhem.

Oh yeah remember  that they stopped it cos people were wheelying and basically having a laugh someone even wheelied into a police car the noise as they came through the town was awesome and all 2 strokes
