Judging by the first photos you don't know about the footbridge in the adjoining field which would allow you safe access to Muchlarnick when the river Looe is in spate? i I was caught out by deep water in the first lane in video one a few months ago while I was deciding how best to tackle the diagonal pipes across the lane, which is always wet even in drought conditions, and got my moneys worth out of my handlebar pad.
Isn't it un-nerving the way the bridge shakes when the water is hitting it? The crossing is very short and is passable even when seat high, providing you carry enough momentum not to get dragged downstream into the bridge....
Re part 4: That very same bramble knocked my camera clean off my helmet producing a disorienting video as it swung and spun around on the end of the lanyard recently.
your right there is a small bridge in the next feild, but as you can see in the second pic that is the feild and you can just see the small bridge in the background, the feild was under alot of water and there was no way we were going across.
