Well no surprise that Mr Nick Life won - zero points (so dabs at all over the 14 special stages) and did a lap of Wheeldon indoor circuit in 35.5 secs !!! Somewhat amazing......... If not predictable.
2 others scored zero points as well - but with slightly longer Wheeldon lap times.
As for me. Mmmmm not quite so good I'm afraid, finishing 132nd out of 152 entries. Geoff did the best of all of us finishing 113th and finishing 5 stages without a dab. Russell next finishing 124th and our Nick Schooe in at 137th.
The one female entrant was a very young lady riding one of Wheeldons Huskys. She was used to trial bikes but did excellent and put most entrants to shame, finishing 25th and completing the first 10 stages without dab. She was pretty brave on the hill climb too -- despite arriving late when it was worn and raining and still getting to the 2 point marker. What a bird!!!
Anyway as already reported it was an excellent days riding - even if I did do crap.
None of us did rubbish we all took part which is the main thing, and I for one had a great day and I'm sure I wasn't the only one
When you got off and looked at the sections most looked simple enough but then as soon as I started off (must have been the pressure of being watched) all my illusions of easy were shattered when I dabbed the floor on numerous occasions on several sections
Standing around at pennys wood watching people tackling the final section with all the banter going on all around was a great end to a brilliant day think I might do it on the CRM next year though
Good on you for all taking part Reckon it's all to do with how you feel on the day. Rode Sat and felt really comfortable and " in the groove" (Literately in places)
