The days of a bargain on ebay are pretty much gone now.
Not so sure.
There are certain lines that I don't stock as eBay sellers have them up for less than I can get the items trade. I wish I knew who their wholesalers are!

It's been like that for a while, there are dealers on there selling diving stuff at less than I can buy it at trade prices for. The only thing I can think is that they are trying to offload old stock before its to out of date to sell
As for high prices I have seen a few things go on there for almost as much as you would pay for them in a shop

It has its benefits as well - as seems to be now better and more widely used than auto-trader etc etc. I have purchased several bikes off here now and sold my ZX6R and my step-sons Speedfight in no time at all using their fixed price classifed ad system. Ben sold his KTM200 in a day using the same.
Bargains are getting less and less, but there some around if you are prepared to take your time and do your homework. 2 bikes I purchased in the past I didnt bid on - but took the sellers contact details. After the reserve wasnt met when the auction ended, I contacted the seller and made a stupidly low offer which was accepted.
Is it me, or do ebay prices seem to have risen recently !
I think they are just re-aligning with market rates in most cases, or are you talking about used items?
I noticed years ago that ebay 'buy-it-now' prices from merchants are not always the cheapist, some times you can get a better price buying direct from an 'on-line' retailer.

Everything, used and new ! I have found some good bikes, at an OK price, the best one was from Durham, (that was a long day). As said earlier, make an offer if a bike sale dosn't meet reserve etc. Be quick, everyone does it now.
Ebay can be a strange and wonderful place (and as the wife's always telling me......a great time waster).
