Plenty of navaras around for that price cheap. Of your handy with the spanners then you could buy the bilcar upgraded crank bearing sheels and fit em and it would be a very reliable truck. Or a import Nissan hardbody 3.0 litre like I had. Mine was **** cos it had been hooked to a horse box for 90k so not ideal!! Plenty about for that price range
Nissan had a real problem when they started using Renault designed engines and it was not just confined to the Navara. I have a 2001 navara with the original old skool Nissan lump, bit of a dinosaur by todays tech but it does the job albeit a little juicy but tough and longlived.
Why oh why Nissan chose to partner up with Renault is a mystery to me although Renaults track record before was fair it went horribly downhill come the turn of the century.
