I haven't ridden out yet, so I'm trying to cobble something together from what I already have. This is my set-up for riding the tarmac lanes, is there any reason it won't work for the trails? I seem to have so much stuff and will probably be able to cut down a fair bit once I see what others do.
Do you guys carry flask and snack or aim to stop somewhere at a caff/whatever?
Mirrors will be removed, btw.
Sorry, not meaning to hijack your thread!

If I'm to start riding regularly with u motley crew I need to be carrying some basics so I can be self sufficient!! So what's the best option on the tool bag front?
I need to be able to carry a small 25Oml pot of oil as I'm a 2 strone rider and ideally is like to be able to have the bag on my handlebars, I like the look of the kriega s3, can u fit that to front bars? Anything else worth considering?
The bags are good but will help the badger count no end, ditch em if you want to survive. A front and rear tool bag should suffice and a day sack if you want to carry more. Saddle bags are good if you want to do more long distance travel which does not involve difficult tight lanes.
