I think the whole point of these vidoes is to make people think about what could happen, and then drive better.
I thought the point of them was to make money for those that post them up.......and more shocking = more hits = more money....maybe I'm a bit cynical but I'm not convinced that road safety was the thought formost in the producers mind.

Very charitable, rather naive, somewhat simplistic and hopelessly optomistic.
I thought the whole point was to make you happy to be where you are by having a laugh at other people caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, (but I do concede that one may learn what not to do).
I think it worked. Makes me wonder if I should moan about euro legislation and speed cameras. I don't want me or anyone to be an innocent victim of something like that!!!

I dunno, this particular one is the first video on that users account, it has had over 5 million views but shows no signs of advertising so the user must not have choosen to 'monetize' his account. The user probably wasn't making a drive awareness video but that is one aspect of what it is, some people will see that and realise it could happen to them.
