Should I be worried?

When I've bought parts recently for my aging Audi A4 at most of the factors when I give the reg no it is coming up as a VW Golf. This has not happened before. Have I been cloned?

Thanks Rob. Yes it had a personal plate on when I bought it about 12 years ago.

Do you mean used twice by DVLA? Its been back to its age related plate for 12 years or so, no problems until this year with factors identifying the make and model. Weird.

After some thought on the subject I believe I have the answer.

Whilst Chris has been polishing and fettling his beloved car over the last 12 years he's polished off a few of the numbers and the ones left correspond with Golf, or he's muddled up the plates whilst cleaning behind the number plates of all the cars at once.

What did the taxdisc checker come up with and what does the old private reg come up as now? It will be on the V5 as a change I think?

It came up with an Audi. I'll have to look back through and find the old private reg no and try that one. Thanks for your thoughts. 

PS I don't think its anything to do with my cleaning regime.confuse
