Not been around much over the last few months been earning my brownie points from the wife :) anyway I am heading off on my travels on the 13th July. Flying to Mongolia, we are going to ride C90's around Mongolia for a couple of week and then ride them the 7000 miles home. I am going with Ed and 5 others. Got myself a head cam so I am hoping to post some video as I go. I have the Spot GPS tracker with me again, here is the link http://share.findmespot.com/shared/faces/viewspots.jsp?glId=00iZyFZDCETZDozMb4G5N22RqAcD0eUxL
Here are the C90's stripped down ready to be shipped.
Mine's the bronze on one the right. Will try to post updates as I travel. Cheers an excited Nick.
Hi from Mongolia, will post some picture when I find somewhere with decent internet. Done 500 miles through Mongolia, there are 7 of us, one engine seized and rebuilt, one engine big end gone and cheap Chinese replacement bought, another dead beyond repair so stuck at the moment. All the other bikes look like they are on there last legs and it only a matter of time before the next one goes. Had to tow one of the lads 20 miles across the steppe. One C90 towing another on sand is hard going. Been enjoyable but don't think we will make it to the UK, time will tell :)
Spent all day today rebuilding one bike fitting a new top end (barrel and piston). Of the 7 bikes only 3 are still running without major repairs. Can't send pictured at the moment. Suspension on my bike is on it's last legs so hoping to make it across Mongolia then head north for the Trans-Siberian railway and try to get a train to Moscow. Everything changes on a daily basis. Really it is now a case of keeping going as long as possible. I truly can't stand the site of the C90's they are just slow and not capable of crossing this sort of terrain.

Bike still running... just. Made it to the train station and am going on the train to Moscow (Trans Siberian Train) hoping to leave tonight. Internet still very slow so can't post pictures yet ;(
Good to hear that you and the bike are still moving, albeit by train. What happens from Moscow? Are the rest of the group travelling with you? Keep us posted.
At the moment I am about a day ahead of the main group. They should catch up tomorrow. I have been trying to sort out a train because at the rate we are travelling we will not be back till the end of September and I need to be back earlier than that (supost to be back for first week of September). We have travelled about a quarter of the way and used up nearly half of the time :( Most days we don't start travelling till 10:00 or later there is always some one not ready...... usually Ed.
Ed does not like riding in the rain so yesterday we did not start till 12:00, it rains most days in Russia/Mongolia this time of year so that is a problem. Because we are travelling so slowly we have had to cut out all the sight seeing it is turning into a chore of just bashing of the miles. The bit I really wanted to do was Mongolia now that is finished I am looking at ways of flying out. But as I entered Russia with a bike they are exspecting me to leave with it or have some paperwork to explain why I don't have the bike. I tried at the police station and they where not interested. If I could get the right paper work I would flyout tomorrow. But no one seems to know what I need.
I have considered various options. Jacks sorry can see pms but can't reply. Am waiting for the rest to catch up got a chance of getting the bike on the train on Sunday if that comes off then will continue. If that falls through then will try to pay tax so I don't have problems returning. Have received up to date info from the Hubb so will be leaving on the train on Sunday with or without the bike.
Amazing day. Finally anfer two days of trying got our tickets for the Trans Siberiab Express. Stripped the bikes down and crated them ( well strapped them to a palet, this is an requirement). Got two of the seven bikes on the train and the station manager had an fit and chucked the bikes off and ripped up all our paperwork, that had taken two days to get. The reason for his fit was because we were over his weight allowance. An arrangement was made with one of the porters and he and 3 of his mates turned up with a truck we manhandled the bikes. Stacking one bike lying across three of the others and off we went to a different station and the bikes were manhandled the bike into a different train. Total price for that and shipping them 1800 miles...... 70 quid a bike.
Tomorrow we are taking the train 1800 miles to Moscow they should put nearly back on time.
Spent the day sight seeing in Moscow. Red square, Kremlin and Gorky Park. Feel like a tourist :) went wake-boarding for the first time in a scummy greenish pond. The last few pictures from Mongolia.
One for JT. There was about a 100+ people standing on the Trans-Siberian express railway line. I thought that this was risky then they started crossing under the train so they did not have to walk around the train. I gave that one a miss.

Finally made it out of Russia at 25mph. Rings are going on the piston, top speed one the flat 30mph up hill down to 15mph. Rode today 200 miles to Kiev. So Chicken Kiev for tea :) .
Not sure Craig. Staying in Kiev till Thursday. I have booked a tour of Pripyat on Wednesday. That gives me two days to sort out the bike, we are carrying a top end rebuild kit. We have done two top ends and replaced a complete engine so far. It's an easy fix if it is the piston or barrel. If something else then there are plenty of flights from Kiev to the UK. We will have to see.
