My lad turns 16 soon so he's looking for a road legal 50cc trail bike, budget of a grand.

There are lots of makes & models available that I've not heard of before so any advice on what to avoid would be appreciated.

My lad Matt started out on an Aprilia RX50 and did very well on it. He beat me on the Exmoor Clouds LDT on his RX50 disbelief

My lad had a Rieju MRX - served him very well and he went anywhere I did wink same Minerelli motor as the Aprillia I think - good little motors parts widely avaible and easy to tune biggrin
